Correct Your Vision Without Changing Your Look

Contact lenses are a good option for correcting your vision without having to change the way you look. They’re also extremely convenient – you can put them in and take them out whenever you want, and they’ll never get in the way of sunglasses or hats.

We understand how hard it can be to figure out how to properly insert and remove your contact lenses – and we also know how important it is that you do it correctly. At your contact lens fitting, We’ll teach you everything you need to know about the best way to insert and remove your contacts, and how to keep them clean so you stay healthy and safe.

We sell glasses too!

We also sell glasses, so you can get all of your vision needs taken care of in one place. We sell the best brands, including Tom Ford and Prada, and we’ll help find the perfect pair for you.

Glasses are the classic way to correct your vision. They’re also great for people, particularly kids, who are squeamish about placing contact lenses in their eyes. Whether you’re looking for glasses that are stylish or just want something to help you read the fine print on menus at restaurants, we’ve got it all. We have frames for men, women, and children – and no matter what shape your face is, we have a pair that will fit you perfectly!

Book an eye exam with us

Aside from selling contact lenses, we also offer comprehensive eye exams! But don’t worry, you’re not being pressured into getting a prescription if you don’t need one yet. An exam is just part of the whole package when you shop with us, and it’s our way of making sure that your vision stays healthy for hears to come.

Our experienced optometrists have years of training in vision science, which means during your eye exam, they can help you with more than just your prescription glasses. While conducting your eye exam, we use state-of-the-art technology to determine whether you need prescription eyeglasses and what types of lenses would best work for you, helping you get the most out of your new glasses! We also screen for eye conditions, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Finding the Right Contact Lens for You

If you’re just starting out with contact lenses, it can be overwhelming to figure out which type you need. But don’t worry! We’ve got this.

At Optiko, our team will take the time to talk you through the pros and cons of each option so that you can make an informed decision about which type of contact lens will work best for your lifestyle. We’ll be glad to answer any questions you might have, and help you find the right pair to fit your needs.

Disposable Soft Contact Lenses

Soft contact lenses are the most popular type of contact lens! They’re generally considered more comfortable than rigid gas permeable lenses. Soft contacts are made of soft, flexible plastics that allow oxygen to pass through to your eye.

Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses (RGP)

Rigid gas permeable lenses (RGP), also known as hard contacts, are a form of contact lens. They are made from rigid plastic and flexible silicone and allow more oxygen to flow to the eye than soft lenses. RGP contacts are smaller than soft lenses, covering only about 75% of the cornea.

Hybrid lenses

Hybrid lenses combine aspects of both soft contact lenses and hard contact lenses. They have a rigid gas-permeable centre with a soft hydrogel perimeter. They are specialty lenses that provide clearer vision for people with high amounts of astigmatism, corneal disease or injury, and/or keratoconus.

If you wear contact lenses, you might be confused about the many choices available. Let us help you find the right contact lenses and clear up some of that confusion by explaining the difference between daily disposable contact lenses and extended-wear contact lenses.

Extended Wear Contact Lenses

Extended wear contact lenses can be worn for up to 30 days at a time and are an excellent option for those who don’t want to deal with the hassle of taking out and cleaning their contacts daily. There are a variety of options available, including weekly, biweekly, and monthly wear.

Daily Disposable Contact Lenses

Daily disposable lenses are a great alternative to traditional contacts. They’re a little more expensive than other options, but the convenience is well worth it! They’re easy to put in and take out, so you don’t have to worry about remembering to pack them up at night.

The best part? You don’t need any special care for these lenses – just toss them out when you’re done with them!
